General Wall Mounting Instructions

This guide serves as a general recommendation for products designed to be wall-mounted. If you are unsure which type of mounting is suitable for you, we recommend looking up the specific product on our website. The product description always mentions the recommended type of mounting.

Important information before mounting:

  1. Some products are wrapped in bubble wrap for safety.
  2. The products are usually in a protective template made of the same material, which is taped to the product on the side without the decoration. Carefully remove the tape from the other side to safely extract the product (or all parts of the product) from the template.
  3. We recommend mounting the product on the wall with a partner. It is always better to have another person to help you determine if the product is correctly positioned on the wall from a distance.
  4. If the product consists of multiple parts, we recommend laying out the product on the floor as a test to better visualize the final placement and arrangement of the individual parts on the wall.

Types of Mounting:

  1. Pre-applied foam adhesive tape - If your product has pre-applied foam tape on the back, the installation is very simple. Foam tape is generally found on smaller products or those whose lower weight allows such a method of mounting. A detailed guide for mounting DUBLEZ products using foam tape can be found at this link.
  2. Unapplied foam tape - Foam tape can also be ordered separately. One piece of foam tape measures 1 meter, divided into 10 separate 10 cm long strips. The tape can be cut into shorter pieces with scissors as needed. If you purchased a product size that does not include pre-applied foam tape, you can buy it separately and easily apply it at home. Instructions on how to properly apply the tape to the product can be read HERE. Detailed instructions for mounting a DUBLEZ product using foam tape can be found at this link.
  3. Adhesive putty - Adhesive putty squares are used for small products where foam tape is not feasible. The putty can be divided into smaller pieces, stretched as needed, etc. The putty is initially hard, you need to take a piece, warm it in your fingers by rolling it for a few seconds, and then apply it to the product. It is used for attaching small and lightweight products to the wall. Do not use it for large products! After applying enough adhesive putty to several strategic places on the product, it needs to be firmly pressed against the wall. The putty hardens within a few hours and holds for years.
  4. Small nails - We recommend using small wall nails for large products intended for wall hanging (nails are not included with the product, they must be purchased separately). If you want the product flush against the wall, we recommend buying nails with a mini head. Thanks to the nail head, you can press the product against the wall. Tip from us: We recommend not hammering the nails flush against the product. Leave at least a 0.5 mm gap. In case of disassembly, you can easily remove the nails with pliers without damaging the product. :)
  5. Assembly adhesive - Another option is to use assembly adhesive (e.g., Mamut), but in this case, removing it from the wall later can be challenging and may damage the plaster.

Note:

  1. The customer is responsible for mounting the product - We take no responsibility for any failure and detachment of the product from the wall. Often, the quality of placement depends on the composition of the plaster, perimeter and internal walls (wall temperature), and the correct mounting procedure.
  2. Removing products with foam adhesive tape - Since foam adhesive tape is very strong, we recommend first cutting the foam from the product with a thin (preferably long for large products) knife from behind the product. Then, you can very carefully peel off the remaining foam on the wall.
  3. Please do not risk placing large products on adhesive gums and tapes!
